Join us for two hours of Bob trying out all kinds of styles and genres . . . he wheezed through everything but disco and punk. So, find yourself a nice, soft place to sit and let a couple hours’ worth of songs about Mother Nature’s favorite herb happen to your brain. Indica. Sativa. Hybrid. (Yes. Yes. And yes.) Don’t forget to roll up a towel to put under the door after the pizza guy leaves.

101 Series Lesson 103: Music of 1977

There are many pivotal years in the history of tunes. Years that mark a new era, a new style, a moment that magnifies the birth, or genesis, or lives of a generation. For Lesson 103 of the 101 Series we bury the first of our musical time capsules with music from the year punk broke, 1977. It crosses many musical styles and radio formats and sounds like you’re scanning up and down the FM dial while cruising in your Camaro. It’s two years before The Walkman and almost 25 before the iPod. Your social network is hanging out and getting high. It’s the baby boomers’ last gasp looking into punk’s gaping maw. Who the fuck are the Sex Pistols?
